Growing up in Tennessee, I was exposed to country and bluegrass on the local radio station. Being a teenager, I was into the pop music scene and at age 12 I joined a Beatle band. I was also drawn to folk and blues genres.
After a stint in the army, I was drawn back to my roots with bluegrass and country and pop all mixed together. Some would call it Americana. I joined a party jam band that turned into an eclectic bluegrass band playing frat parties and clubs in the college town of Cookeville, Tennessee.
Guitar was my first love. I went on to pick up the Dobro, harmonica and fiddle. The fiddle has lbeen my main instrument for the last few decades. However, I have been able to incorporate all of these instruments in my solo gigs. I am able to fullfill my retirement dream as a solo performer by offering my listeners variety across several genres of music...folk, blues country, pop, bluegrass and more!
